SG360°, a Segerdahl Company, Expands Offset Capacity with a Third Komori Lithrone G40 Press

Press release from the issuing company

The G40 delivers the promise of “Offset-on-Demand” for SG360°

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Komori America, a premier manufacturer of printing presses, announced that leading direct marketing solutions provider SG360°, a Segerdahl company, purchased its third six-color Komori Lithrone G40 (GL640) offset press in the span of just one year. Based in Wheeling, IL, SG360°installed its first two Lithrone GL640s only twelve months ago, and this new press provides additional capacity to support the company’s continued growth. The announcement was made at a press conference held by Komori on Saturday, September 7 in conjunction with PRINT 13.

The Lithrone G40 features cutting edge automation, including Komori’s revolutionary KHS-AI intelligent software with self learning and automatic plate changing that minimize set-up time and waste, enabling printers to produce today’s shorter run work profitably and with the highest level of image and color quality. The new GL40 will come equipped with UV technology to further drive efficiency and print quality.

“A little more than a year ago, SG360° had just redefined its enterprise with broad, innovative new business offerings and two new Komori GL640 presses,” said Rick Joutras, CEO of SG360°. “The last twelve months have proven that the decision to redefine our brand was a rewarding one and has led to greater opportunities as we continue to grow our business through perpetual motion of communication tools, creative solutions and mediums. We’re proud to have purchased a third Komori press to meet the growth in customer demand for quality output and fast turnaround.”

The company was impressed with the GL640’s innovative automation and especially its environmental efficiencies, which include energy and labor savings as well as reduced materials waste. The Komori GL640 press provides the unparalleled quality of offset printing with the speed necessary to deliver on very tight customer deadlines important to SG360° customers that include many of the nation’s largest direct marketers.

“We’re pleased that we’ve been able to play a role in SG360°’s success over the last year,” said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice president of sales for Komori America. “SG360°has taken a comprehensive approach to fulfilling the broad range of services that are expected of today’s communications companies, and the installation of a third high-speed GL640 press testifies to the continuing demand for print—by itself as well as part of a multi-media strategy. SG360°’s rapid growth positively reflects the strong partnership our two companies have enjoyed for more than twenty years.”
