Press release from the issuing company

Multi-Unit Franchisee Takes Home Most Coveted Award for Best Run Business Center -

SALT LAKE CITY – AlphaGraphics, Inc., a global leader in print and marketing communications solutions, announced today that Steve Adams, a multi-unit franchisee in Ariz., has been awarded the 2013 Franny award. The Franny award, AlphaGraphics’ most coveted honor, is given to the best run business center in all areas of business and service, which also has a proven track record of contributing to the overall success of the brand.  The award was announced at the company’s annual conference in Nashville on August 3.

As the 2013 Franny winner, Steve Adams received recognition of excellence from the entire AlphaGraphics network, and in addition, he will be recognized by the International Franchise Association (IFA) and its members at the International Franchising Association’s Public Affairs Conference in Washington D.C. later this year.

“We are deeply honored to receive this award,” said Steve Adams. “Our success would not have been possible without the help of my two sons in the business, our staff, my peers, the AlphaGraphics team and my wife of 40 years, Joan.”

When Steve Adams was looking for business opportunities, he came across an ad in the Wall Street Journal for AlphaGraphics. Since opening his first business center, twenty-three years ago, Adams has expanded to three locations in Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix, Ariz. Adams currently lives in Chandler, Arizona and is very involved in local organizations, including the Chambers of Commerce in Phoenix, Glendale and Mesa, as well as the Mesa United Way.

“We are thrilled to award Steve Adams with this prestigious honor,” said Art Coley, president and chief executive officer of AlphaGraphics. “His accomplishments across Arizona reflect his hard work and dedication as an AlphaGraphics franchisee. Steve, as well as the entire AlphaGraphics system, strive every day to be a trusted business partner to small businesses across the globe.”

Other awards given at the conference, which took place at Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Hotel from July 31 – August 2, included Most Improved, Rising Star, Center of Excellence, Best Operations, Top Salesperson, among others.

AlphaGraphics was founded in Tucson, Ariz., in 1970. In 1979 the company began franchising its unique business model, which offers a comprehensive suite of marketing and print solutions for B2B customers. Today, there are nearly 300 franchises across 30 states.
