Ann Arbor, Michigan – Xitron, the leading commercial developer of Harlequin RIPs and workflows for the printing industry, today announced the release of new color proofing solutions for Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6400, iPF6410, iPF6450, iPF6460, iPF8400, iPF8410, iPF9400 and iPF9410 graphic arts printers.

Navigator Proofing Solutions for Canon imagePROGRAF iPFX400 family of graphic arts printers provide:

• Simple, out-of-the-box color accuracy for Gracol^®, SWOP^® and Fogra printing conditions
• Gracol, SWOP and Fogra compliant profiles for use with Xitron X1 proofing paper
• Ability to produce proofs with the same RIP that produces plates

Navigator Proofing complements Navigator Harlequin RIP workflow solutions by using a single RIP for both proof and final output, thus improving prepress production while ensuring data integrity and delivering high quality contract proofs. With ROOM Proofing, the proof is output from the same data as used for the final output.

The Navigator proofing plug-in for Canon iPF6400, iPF6410, iPF6450, iPF6460, iPF8400, iPF8410, iPF9400 and iPF9410 graphic arts printers is an option for any Navigator Harlequin RIP Workflow or Navigator Harlequin Proofing RIP version 9.0 and higher. North American users who purchase a Navigator proofing solution for will also receive a free starter roll of Xitron’s X1 inkjet media. This proofing media was specially formulated to meet the demands of commercial printers by closely matching a typical commercial press sheet.

Xitron also offers support for other Canon proofers including the iPF5100, iPF6100, iPF6200, iPF8100, iPF8110, iPF9100, iPF9110, iPF6300, iPF6350, iPF8300 and iPF8310.
