Designers’ Press Adds Two New Presses

Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, FL – Privately owned Designers’ Press, Inc. has confirmed the addition of two new printing presses to their already distinguished stable of equipment located in the 36,000 sq. ft. facility in Orlando, FL.  The multi-million dollar purchases are projected to substantially increase efficiency and product turnaround time while maintaining the highest level of quality.

The first addition is that of the Ricoh-Heidelberg Linoprint (C901 Graphic Arts +) to the digital printing department.  Owner Dave Simons described his excitement by saying Designers’ Press, Inc. is “doubling [our] digital print capacity and providing customers with the opportunity to get near offset results on short digital runs. It is an area of the print industry that is growing and growing and we felt the time was right to act upon it”.

The second addition is that of a Komori LS 540 to complement the Komori LS 640 that is already in production at Designers’ Press, Inc.  This will dramatically increase efficiency, production time and quality as the new piece of equipment allows both presses to use the same press plates and has a very quick make ready. Owner Dan Wolfe says “bringing in a second Komori is the right decision for us. We already fully understand the ins and outs of the press as well as the quality it produces. Therefore, purchasing a new Komori to add to our repertoire will increase our ability to turnaround a product without hindering the quality. This will be something that will benefit our customers greatly”. The Komori LS 540 will be up and running in early August. Other equipment updates will also be announced shortly.
