PODi Launches New Workflow Initiative

Press release from the issuing company

Initiative provides resources for improving print production workflows

Rochester, NY - PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, has announced the launch of its new Workflow Initiative which will provide business owners, solution architects, and IT/operational management with educational resources for implementing and improving print production workflows. The new Workflow Solutions web portal provides central access to workflow case studies, articles, product briefs and webinars.

The first workflow case study is now live and includes video interviews with Tucker Castleberry Printing’s prepress manager describing and demonstrating how they’ve automated their workflow. Throughout the year more multi-media case studies and PDF workflow case studies will be added, as well as product briefings that discuss and demonstrate new vendor workflow solutions.

“We’re out talking with companies and vendors about print production workflow and delivering the results back to PODi members,” said Greg Cholmondeley, Workflow Practice Director, Caslon. “Streamlining and automating workflows is a never-ending race. There is a steady stream of new ideas, new approaches and new technologies. PODi’s new Workflow Initiative gives PODi members the opportunity to see how others have set up their workflows, what solutions are currently available, how companies have integrated them together, and which may be the best fit for them. In short, it helps PODi members make informed decisions based on the experiences of others regarding acquiring, implementing and using workflow solutions.”

Members can access this information in the Workflow Solutions section of the PODi website. For information on joining PODi visit www.podi.org.
