Proforma Earns Woman-Owned Business Certification

Monday, March 11, 2013

Press release from the issuing company

CLEVELAND – Proforma is excited to announce it is now officially recognized as a certified woman-owned business by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC). This certification validates Proforma’s corporate structure and gives buyers confidence they are working with a woman-owned company.

"I’m thrilled that Proforma will now be officially recognized as a woman-owned business," said Vera Muzzillo, CEO of Proforma. "This certification proudly illustrates the roles women hold at Proforma and recognizes our woman Member Owners. This program will enable us to develop relationships with larger companies and create opportunities for future partnerships with them amid public and private companies."

By obtaining this certification, Proforma’s woman-owned franchises are eligible to receive the woman-owned certification from the NWBOC. The certification will benefit Proforma in the marketplace, assist in identifying new business opportunities and provide an advantage in competing for new business with companies and government contract opportunities that require a woman-owned certification status.

"NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts," says Janet Harris-Lange, President of NWBOC. NWBOC is a national not-for-profit corporation, created to recognize the benefits of contracting with women suppliers. NWBOC seeks to provide more corporations with the opportunity to better their procurement practices and to give women suppliers the opportunity to compete in the marketplace.

Becoming a certified woman-owned business is one of many initiatives Proforma has focused on in the past year to give its Member Owners the best positioning in the industry. Proforma has invested more than $5 million in an enterprise solutions technology platform, designed to significantly increase Proforma Franchise Owners’ North American and global enterprise client base. It has also recently added new Chief Sales Officer and Chief Business Development Officer positions to help Owners identify key selling strategies to help them advance to the next level of success.

Proforma is a $430 million industry leader offering each Proforma member a full suite of tools including access to award winning marketing campaigns, a newly enhanced technology platform, financial backing, free credit insurance, the buying clout that increases their profits up to 5% - 15% with a proven vendor network and more.
