Japan's Tonichi Printing Orders Two TKS Presses

The TONICHI PRINTING CO., Ltd.  announced that they will be purchasing two TKS Color Top 7100CD  double wide presses for their main production facility in Tokyo.  This will bring the total number of presses at the facility to 14, which is one of the largest production facilities in Japan.  They also have two presses at their Kawasaki facility and three presses Kita-Kanto. All 19 presses are TKS. TONICHI PRINTING prints over 40 different titles of Newspapers, including Mainichi Shimbun and Sports Nippon. Total print circulation at the three plants is more than 3,000,000 newspaper copies per day.

Each of the two presses has: 

  • Three four over four Towers
  • One two over one Towers
  • One double folder
  • Four Reel stands
  • TKS TNPC press controls
  • FWL automatic web leading system

TONICHI PRINTING chose TKS because, they recognize the Color Top 7100CD  proven reputation for high quality printing and  stable registration through low to high speeds of 90,000 copies per hour. 

At the January 30, 2013 contract signing were : Mr. T. Torii (President), Mr. S. Suzuki (Senior Executive Director), Mr. T. Imai (Executive Director), Mr. H. Watanabe (Director) from TONICHI PRINTING.  Mr. Y. Shiba (President) and others from TKS were also present.

The first press will go into production February of 2014 with the second press starting up in November of 2014.
