Richard Trapilo of C.P. Bourg Elected to NPES Board

Press release from the issuing company

New Bedford, Mass. USA; - C.P. Bourg, the world's leading developer and supplier of on-demand document binding and finishing equipment, today announced that C.P. Bourg Inc. Executive Vice President and General Manager Richard F. Trapilo has been elected to a two-year term as a Director to the Board of the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES).

NPES is a trade association of over 400 companies that manufacture and distribute equipment, systems, software, supplies used in printing, publishing and converting. Founded as the National Printing Equipment Association in 1933, the association today represents manufacturers, importers and distributors of equipment, supplies, systems and software used in every printing, publishing and converting process from design to distribution. Virtually all industry products and processes are represented by the member companies, which range in size from under $1 million in annual sales revenue to more than $1 billion.

Mr. Trapilo is responsible for all C.P. Bourg operations worldwide, including sales and marketing in the Americas, Europe, and the Far East; OEM management worldwide; and all factory operations. Among his many achievements, Mr. Trapilo was instrumental in developing the Bourg SBM-1 in 1989 -- the world's first signature booklet maker connected to a digital press -- and in the many significant finishing product developments that followed, including the Bourg Book Factory in 1996, the world's first perfect binder designed for digital production.

As a Director on the NPES Board, he joins peers from Eastman Kodak Company, HP, Oce North America, Xerox, xpedx and 13 other prominent companies in guiding NPES publications, programs and government affairs, as well as its involvement in national and international standards development and trade assistance.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Trapilo said, "I am pleased to have been elected to the NPES Board, and I welcome the opportunity to contribute to this important association as the industry we serve continues to transition from analog methods to a world increasingly influenced by digital technology."
