OKI Data Receives Outstanding Achievement Awards from BLI

Press release from the issuing company

The MB461, MB471 and MB491 earn recognition for stellar environmental performances in the A4 mono MFP/small workgroup category

Mount Laurel, NJ – OKI Data Americas has been recognized by Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), receiving Outstanding Achievement Awards for Energy Efficiency for three of its new monochrome multifunction printers (MFPs) – the MB461, MB471 and MB491 – all of which were introduced earlier this year. These OKI MFPs were singled-out for having energy consumption rates between 55 and 58 percent lower than average. In fact, their energy consumption rates were the lowest among all devices tested within their group.

Contributing to these MFPs' low energy consumption rates are their automatic duplexing capabilities, in addition to their toner save mode, above average toner yields, and other useful, energy-saving functions – all of which underscore OKI's continuing commitment to developing high-performing printing solutions with a low total cost of ownership.

"OKI strives to develop products and services that minimize their environmental impact while optimizing workplace performance," said Carl Taylor, Director of Marketing for OKI Data Americas. "We are pleased to receive this honor from BLI, and to be recognized for delivering high-quality, cost-effective and energy-efficient printing solutions to the marketplace."

BLI's actual estimated annual energy consumption results reported that the MB471 was 55 percent lower than average, while the MB491 and MB461 were each 58 percent lower than average. A full environmental report for each device is available on bliQ – a subscription-based service of BLI's.

According to BLI, "Three OKI devices earned recognition for their stellar environmental performances in the A4 mono MFP/small workgroup category: the MB491, MB471 and MB461. When tested using BLI's real-world environmental job stream test, their energy consumption rates were 55 percent to up to 58 percent lower than average – the lowest rates tested to date for that group. Each unit also [delivered] above average tested toner yields that exceeded their rated yields."

OKI Data Americas' commitment to its customers extends beyond the sale through the provision of live[i], toll-free technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with agents based in North America. In addition, OKI Data's live chat feature is available to customers within the US and Canada seeking online support on weekdays during normal business hours within the Eastern time zone.
