IKON to Host Educational Sessions at ON DEMAND 2004

Press release from the issuing company

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--March 3, 2004-- Demonstrating the company's position as a leading sales and service channel for best-in-class document management solutions, IKON Office Solutions is partnering with customers, suppliers and Doculabs at this year's ON DEMAND Expo in New York City on March 8-10, 2004 to create an educational and collaborative environment in which attendees can learn about the benefits and cost savings associated with document management solutions. IKON's presence at the show will feature an educational theater, the Document Efficiency Center, as well as a keynote panel presentation by IKON's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Cathy Lewis. "With so much noise in the market today around office technologies and services, IKON decided to take advantage of the ON DEMAND 2004 expo to create a forum where colleagues can come together to learn effective document management from each other," said Lewis. "Keeping with our best-in-class approach, IKON is bringing together the best people in the industry -- suppliers, customers, and analysts -- to share their knowledge and expertise at the industry's largest event." Joining a panel of visionary imaging leaders, Ms. Lewis will discuss innovative new technologies and services that are redefining how office workers communicate and share knowledge. The session, "The Office of the Future: Redefining Document Processes," will be held on March 9 from 10:30 - 11:15am, and is open to all ON DEMAND attendees. Also, as part of the ON DEMAND this year, IKON is presenting the Document Efficiency Center along with Doculabs, a leading technology consulting firm, and in conjunction with Electronic Document Systems Foundation. Designed as an educational theater, the Center will showcase 45-minute panel discussions for attendees to learn how new enabling document management technologies and solutions can directly impact their organization's efficiency and productivity. Following each session, Doculabs will host walking tours of the show floor, with stops at key technology booths. Moderated by IKON and Doculabs, the panel sessions will feature customers and vendors, as well as IKON executives, highlighting challenges and successes in creating document efficiency. The panel session topics include: Leveraging Capture Technology to Increase Efficiencies: Learn how digital technology can be used to capture hard copy documents and transform them into electronic files that are easily distributed, stored inexpensively, and conveniently managed and accessed. Hard Dollar Returns from Document Management Integration: Discuss how integrating document management systems and services can help businesses manage document workflow and increase efficiency to produce hard dollar returns. Production Workflow Approaches to Maximize Productivity: Find out what production workflow solutions can maximize productivity to meet the special demands of commercial printers, central reprographics departments, service bureaus, direct mail firms and other fast-paced, high-volume production environments. Managing Variable Data to Drive Business Objectives: See first-hand new innovations in variable data printing and learn how they can help organizations incorporate personalization into their communications.
