Base-Line Merges with Nustream

Press release from the issuing company

Base-Line, Inc, the leading graphic arts distributor, has merged with Nustream America. The terms of the transaction, which is effective July 30, 2012, were not disclosed.

As part of the agreement, Base-Line will serve as Nustream's exclusive sub-distributor for all IBF products in North America, including IBF analog, CTP plates, films and chemistry. Additionally, Base-Line will now distribute equipment and software for a wide range of product lines currently represented by Nustream America. These include ECRM, Screen, Highwater, Screen, Heights, Alwan and Proofstream.

“As a result of this strategic merger with Nustream America, Base-Line can provide its dealer network and customers with an even greater selection of printing products and solutions,” said Howard Harper, president and chief executive officer of Base-Line, Inc. “We're also excited about the infusion of additional sales and marketing leadership and resources into our organization. This will enable us to even more effectively service our customer base and spur future organic growth.”

Nustream's vice president, Guy Potvin, has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at Base-line. Potvin was vice president at Nustream for more than 15 years and brings a depth of experience and expertise in the graphic arts industry. Additionally, all current Nustream sales representatives based throughout North America will be joining the Base-line sales force, effective immediately.

“For the first time, Nustream's customers now have a one step resource for all of their graphic arts and printing needs,” said Renel Bouchard, president of Nustream America. “Since its founding more than 60 years ago, Base-Line has cultivated a reputation for outstanding customer service and innovative products. We are thrilled to be merging with Base-Line and are confident this will be a great benefit to our valued customers.”

Nustream's customers will not experience any changes in service as a result of this merger. They should continue to call the same phone number for service and orders.
