The Print House Installs Third Komori Press

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced that The Print House, a full-service commercial printer located in Malden, MA and servicing the greater Boston area recently installed its third Komori press. The company chose the five-color Lithrone SX 29 (LSX529) to accommodate the increased demand for high quality, unique color applications that can get to market quickly. The Print House serves a variety of industries and institutions that include healthcare, education and museums. In the short time since its installation, The Print House has seen enhanced productivity and improved profitability because of the machine’s ability to handle a larger sheet, 24 inches by 29 inches, while providing impressively fast job cycle times—producing over 16,000 sheets per hour on a wide range of substrates.

“We have been partners with Komori for more than 15 years,” said Paul Doucette, president of The Print House. “As we continue to aggressively grow our business and address the needs of our customers, we needed to add a press that would enable us to not only deliver exceptional quality with fast turnarounds but also expand our capabilities into new markets such as signage and packaging with the larger sheet size capabilities. Additionally, Komori provides reliability that we have come to depend on over the years.”

When looking to expand its printing capabilities, The Print House was particularly impressed with the wide range of advanced technology that the LSX529 offered including an automatic plate-changing system and an advanced interface system that enables extremely quick makeready and significantly reducing paper waste.

“We sincerely enjoy our partnership with The Print House and thank them for their continued business,” said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Komori America. “We support The Print House’s aggressive approach towards expanding its capabilities into new markets and are thrilled that the LSX529 is able to help fulfill the company’s mission to provide clients with the highest quality output using state of the art equipment.”
