drupa 2012: Catapulting iCtP’s Global Expansion

Press release from the issuing company

Drupa was a fantastic success for iCtP!

Glunz & Jensen's iCtP area on the Glunz & Jensen stand saw visitors from over 70 countries during the 14 day period.

Even though it has been 4 years since the last Drupa, there were no significant new products to compete with iCtP, enabling iCtP to retain its exclusive position as the unrivalled leading inkjet CtP solution.

It was a very exciting time, as the PlateWriter 3000 was exhibited with Glunz & Jensen's second generation aqueous ink system - continuing our environmentally friendly approach and providing a striking blue image with a high contrast on plate.  In addition, the brand new PlateWriter 8000 and NewsWriter XL were launched and shown for the first time.

Of course showing off our new innovations is only part of exhibiting; no exhibition is complete without doing some business too.  ICtP had set its sights high in terms of business and Drupa did not disappoint.  By the end of the 14 day period, sales were 30% over the anticipated level, with orders coming in from many of our leading partners in countries such as UK, Spain, Canada, Australia, Chile, and the US.

Other than the 'usual suspects,' it was a great opportunity to meet some of our newer partners, such as our new distributor for India, Percept, who met many Indian visitors on our stand and FC Exports who brought over 20 visitors from African countries to the stand - many of whom signed up for iCtP.

Alongside our established and newer partners, it was also time to sign up new partners from all corners of the world and spread the excitement of iCtP’s continuing global expansion.  A raft of new dealers from the Middle East is enabling expansion into countries where iCtP has not had exposure before, and with new dealers signed up in Iran, Yemen and Iraq our trainers and installing engineers will be busy.

The interest from Latin America was extremely high, with dealers and end users from Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Honduras, to name but a few.  And Fuji Mexico, with over 50 local offices throughout Mexico, was signed as a new iCtP dealer for Mexico.

Particularly satisfying was that in conjunction with the announcement about Glunz & Jensen's expansion into Asia and the new factory in China, we signed new partnerships with a number of Asian Pacific Rim dealers, amongst others in countries such as Thailand and the Philippines.
