Larry Warter and Others Honored by R&E Council of NAPL

White Stone, VA, March 2004 — The Research and Engineering Council of NAPL honored Fuji executive and industry standards champion Larry Warter at its recent meeting in Coral Springs, Florida. Warter was named the 2004 recipient of the R&E Council of NAPL John L. Kronenberg Industry Leadership Award. Presented annually, the Kronenberg Award denotes long and dedicated service to both the R&E Council of NAPL and the graphic arts industry. Larry Warter is the Director of New Business Development at Fuji Photo Film USA, and is widely known in the graphic arts industry for his untiring efforts on behalf of standards. A graduate of Princeton University, Warter has distinguished himself as an officer or board member of 20 graphic arts industry associations. He has been recognized and honored by many of these groups for his unflagging dedication to the graphic arts industry and the promulgation of standards for the common good. His recent honors include receiving the 1999 GAMIS Visionary Leadership Award for the Graphic arts, the 2002 NAPL Technical Achievement Award, the 2002 IPA Len Holzinger Award, the 2002 IDEAlliance Spectrum Leadership Award, and the first annual Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation Harold W. Gegenheimer Annual Achievement Award for his leadership as PGSF Chair. He has long been active in the R&E Council of NAPL, and in 1996 was named to the Nonpariel Society of the Council. Also honored at the Florida meeting were Dr. Twyla J. Cummings, John P. Sweeney, and Jeffrey L. White, all of whom were inducted into the Nonpareil Society of the Council. All are members of the R&E Executive Committee and have been active in Council affairs for many years. Cummings is Assistant Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Print Media. Sweeney Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Integrated Color Solutions. White is Director of MIS Sales for EFI and the current President of the R&E Council of NAPL. In announcing the awards, R&E Council Managing Director Ronald L. Mihills said: “The R&E Council of NAPL is pleased to name Larry Warter, a true leader in the graphic arts industry, as the 2004 Kronenberg Award recipient. He joins a select group of executives who have been honored for their unfailing dedication to both the industry and the Council. We are also pleased to honor Twyla Cummings, John Sweeney, and Jeff White, all of whom devote many hours to help make the R&E Council of NAPL successful.”
