Impressions Media Selects Controls Upgrade with manroland web systems

Friday, May 11, 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Impressions Media (Wilkes Barre, PA) has purchased a press electrical control system upgrade from manroland web systems Inc.

Installation of this upgrade will begin in Q4 of 2012, and will initially include the folder controls. Printing units, controls, and upgrades to the press management consoles will be executed over time on the 17-year-old manroland GEOMAN press.

Bill Reiser, Consultant for manroland web systems Inc. in North America stated, “We are pleased that we were able to offer Impressions Media the best solution and latest advanced technologies available. With this upgrade, Impressions Media will see a substantial difference in production efficiency and, in turn, increase their profitability.”

In partnership with the Pressroom Manager, IT, and their own in-house services at Impressions Media, the manroland web systems team determined the need for the upgrade to eliminate system obsolescence, increase production and efficiencies, and improve troubleshooting and technological communication capabilities.

“Our top priorities are to stay ahead of the curve on technology and to be proactive in keeping our operations top-notch in productivity and reliability,” said Prashant Shitut, President & CEO of Impressions Media.  “This partnership with manroland web systems is an important step toward maintaining these priorities.”

Impressions Media, a privately owned company founded in 1879, not only prints their flagship daily, The Times Leader, but also prints several of their own local weeklies, including the Pittston Sunday Dispatch, the Dallas Post, the Abington Journal and other niche publications. The company also provides commercial services as well as a variety of digital products.
