Photographique MF Invests in an Intec DMP420 Pro

Press release from the issuing company

Great photographs are always a pleasure to see and now a reprographic house in Canada can get the most out of them thanks to its investment in an Intec colour heavy stock digital printer.

Keepsakes for family occasions such as Christenings or birthdays, prints, cards and banners are just some of the applications that Photographique MF in Montreal North, Quebec can now supply to its discerning customers. The business purchased its Intec DMP420 Pro from TekgraphiX, the Intec partner in Canada.

Owner Michel Frechette, who founded the business over 40 years ago, says: “It’s fabulous, it allows us to print unique items for customers on demand. For instance, a card on 500gsm stock, a calendar or even a 1.2m banner. That favourite photo can now become a memento.”

He adds: “Photographique MF chose TekgraphiX and Intec because of the flexibility of the unit, heavy stock, ease of operation to reproduce envelopes of all sizes and formats without having to change the drums as we do with our other equipment. We are particularily impressed with the Promoboard range of products, too, which allows us to easily produce short-run on-demand promotional packaging and point of sale.

Mr Frechette, who works with his son Philippe, has his own graphics team as well as a fully equipped offset department incorporating Heidelberg presses.

The digital side of this long established business uses Xerox high speed duplicators, colour copiers and large format printers and now also the brand new Intec DMP420 Pro.

“Nothing leaves the business before everyone concerned is satisfied,” concludes Mr Frechette, who deals with the “the most prestigious clientele in Quebec”. He doesn’t mention any names but Quebec residents include the singer Celine Dion and the actor William Shatner - who shot to fame in Star Trek...
