Press release from the issuing company
Thomas J. Cobery has joined the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) as a Senior Consultant and fulltime member of its Business Advisory Team. A former President of the Tag and Label Manufacturing Institute (TLMI), Cobery will provide a variety of NAPL business advisory services to tag and label company executives, including CEO coaching, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions advisory services.
“We are very excited to have Tom join our team,” said NAPL Senior Vice President Tim Fischer, who heads the Business Advisory Team. “His experience and expertise in the tag and label segment of our industry will enable him to provide our clients and members with unparalleled insights and advice.” Cobery will be instrumental in customizing NAPL advisory services for TLMI members and others in the tag and label segment of the industry.
A veteran of this key industry segment, Cobery has C-level experience in both the strategic and financial areas of organizational responsibility and brings a seasoned insider’s perspective to a wide range of issues faced by tag and label companies. His experience has made him acutely aware of their frontline management concerns and he will apply NAPL’s industry-leading business management best practices and tools to these issues.
“I am looking forward to working with executives in the tag and label segment, especially since the NAPL Business Advisory Team is not a typical industry consulting entity,” said Cobery. “We really want to become a partner with company CEOs, owners, and executive management teams in guiding their business through the challenges and opportunities of the marketplace and help them move forward to meet goals we can work together to establish.”
With more than three decades of experience in the tag and label segment, Cobery was Chief Executive Officer and President of Aladdin Label, Inc., from 2000 to 2011, and served in the same capacity with Label Art, Inc., from 1981 to 2000. He was previously Chief Financial Officer for Orion Research, Inc., and a Senior Accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. He also served as TLMI President from 1998 to 2000, and was a Member of the Institute’s Board of Directors from 1990 to 2000.
