Intec Printing Solutions Has Successful Dealer Conference

Press release from the issuing company

A successful dealer conference and a global exhibition have been reported by Intec Printing Solutions and its Middle East partner Altech Digi Prints FZE in Dubai.

Altech Digi Prints FZE hosted a two-day Intec dealer event at the Holiday Inn Jemeirah, Dubai where delegates from 12 countries including: Qatar, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Kenya and Malawi, attended.

Kerry Button, International Sales Director at Intec Printing Solutions opened the event by taking the delegates through a sales presentation. This was followed by a workshop with Intec Training and Special Projects Manager Andy Withall, who explained how to get the best results from Intec systems.

Altech’s Ivan Gomes said: “We have a unique and strong message to get across to our customers. The delegates eagerly participated during the breakout sessions and were challenged to come up with their own application for various markets and I’m pleased to say they did extremely well. At the end of the session they said that they now have invaluable information to take back with them, which can be used to grow their businesses.”

He added that the conference was particularly useful in helping partners realise the importance of “providing excellent technical support, which is a fundamental element of being an Intec partner”. Mr Gomes said: “Our technical training is crucial in ensuring our end users have a positive experience and it’s up to our dealers to deliver this high level of support.”

After the conference Intec supported Altech and its domestic dealer Al Dana at Gitex 2011, the week-long ICT show, at the World Trade Centre in Dubai. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE (United Arab Emirates) Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai attended the event. More than 300,000 visitors were drawn to Gitex where there were over 400 exhibitors.

With an eye-catching stand next to electronics giant Panasonic, Intec systems were shown producing covers for hardback diaries on a specialist flock material. “We’ve been delighted with the level of enquiries we have received so far,” said Mr Gomes. “The production of the diaries certainly captured peoples’ imaginations and we’ve also received many enquiries for short-run envelope printing, which was demonstrated on the new Intec MMC320 system. “It’s safe to say that Intec products are proving more and more popular across the Middle East and with their unique abilities to produce high value short-run printing, sales are expected to rise rapidly over the coming months.”

Kerry Button concluded: “The Middle East is less affected by the economic recession. This part of the world doesn’t suffer from the lack of bank lending that the UK and Europe are experiencing. There’s a much more positive attitude to business.”
