LithoTechnics Announces Release of Metrix 2011.0

Press release from the issuing company

Edmonds, WA, – LithoTechnics, Inc., developer of Metrix,
the intelligent, automated job planning and imposition system,
announced today that it has released Metrix 2011.0.

Rohan Holt, President of LithoTechnics, said, "We are always looking
for ways to make Metrix better – faster, smarter, and more automated.
Metrix 2011.0 has some great new features that will put even more
planning and imposition tasks into the "no brainer" category,
eliminate more chances for error, and enhance the ease of use for
which Metrix has become known."

Beta testers have given Metrix 2011.0 an enthusiastic reception,
noting that the new version lives up to the high standards to which
they have become accustomed, both for stability and for innovation.

Leah Graham, Workflow Supervisor at McCallum Print Group, explained,
"We are very excited about the new features in Metrix 2011.0. The
automatic collation marks will save significant time during the
imposition of book work and improve accuracy in our final layouts. All
of the keyboard command updates will make Metrix more user-friendly
and make our operators more efficient. This new release will provide
overall improvements in our imposition workflow and turnaround times."

Brett Donlan, Pre-Media Manager at Suttle-Straus, another Metrix
2011.0 beta tester, commented, "I have found LithoTechnics to be
extremely open to customer feedback as they actively seek out new
feature requests – which cannot be said of most companies. They are
very concerned with customer satisfaction in their products, so
working with them to further develop Metrix feels like a true
partnership. In our switch to Metrix we have made huge strides in
improving accuracy and production time. It is a great product."

Piet Scheepstra, Metrix 2011.0 beta tester at Koninklijke Van Gorcum
(Netherlands), observed, "The most important new features for us are
the automated collation marks, which allow considerable improvements
in the bindery for sewn products with wrap-arounds/outserts, and the
expanded clone functionality. We are also moving to implement more
facets of existing Metrix automation, including JDF to the cutter and
closer integration with the MultiPress MIS system."
