Austin, Texas – QuantumDigital, the turnkey provider for measurable direct mail, on-demand digital printing and email marketing, today announced that it has been certified by the United States Postal Service (USPS) as a full-service facility, authorized to utilize Intelligent Mail Bar Coding (IMB). QuantumDigital is the first Austin-based direct mail company to become certified.

Intelligent Mail services offer mailers next-generation mail delivery information processing. The Intelligent Mail barcode combines the data of the existing POSTNET and the PLANET Code barcodes, as well as other data, into a single barcode. Use of the new format increases mail piece real estate by eliminating the need for multiple barcodes. Additionally, use of Intelligent Mail Barcodes, not only on mail pieces, but on handling units and containers, will enable more visibility during the mailing process. With detailed end-to-end tracking capabilities, mailers can monitor the location of pieces as they move through the mail stream and get a more exact delivery timeline.
