InfoPrint Solutions announces managed workflow service powered by the cloud

Press release from the issuing company

Washington D.C. – InfoPrint Solutions, a Ricoh company, today unveiled its Managed Automated Document Factory (ADF) Services, an industry-first services offering powered by the cloud. Built on InfoPrint ProcessDirector, this offering is a fully managed, turnkey production print workflow solution that provides mid-market companies with proven security and reliability with a single point of control.  InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services enable customers to achieve high document integrity and efficiency in their production print environment with minimal IT overhead requirements and minimal up-front investment.

InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services can provide mid-market customers who print transactional documents containing sensitive and private information, such as statements, bills and Explanations of Benefits, with a highly-compliant, highly-auditable production print environment.  This level of integrity is crucial for the healthcare, financial, insurance, government, telecommunications and utilities sectors where there are stringent obligations to maintain customer privacy.  These requirements must be balanced alongside the need to achieve a lower total cost of printing and mailing.  InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services can enable customers to benefit from infrastructure and labor cost savings, while potentially avoiding significant costs due to regulation fines, downtime and negative publicity.

With these services, print operations – often an IT expense burden for mid-market companies – can experience the same level of production integrity and operational efficiency as InfoPrint Solutions' Fortune 100 client base. InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services will provide reduced dependence on scarce IT skills and the enhanced reporting and audit readiness capabilities desired by compliance officers. This offering leverages InfoPrint Solutions' 15 years of ADF experience and more than 20 years optimizing print-to-mail environments.

Another benefit for mid-market companies when evaluating InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services is its operational expense (OPEX) financial model, which minimizes up-front capital expenditures in favor of utility-based pricing while leveraging a cloud infrastructure to provide a scalable computing environment.

As a cloud services offering, InfoPrint ProcessDirector and supporting print-to-mail software will be hosted on remote servers and accessed via a secure network connection.  Its web-based interface can be accessed by any authorized operator using a web browser inside the network without the need for additional software. The benefit of this services-led workflow approach includes reduced labor costs for maintenance and administration, robust business continuity capabilities, and turnkey access to the latest software and solution capabilities.

"Mid-market companies today are in a tough spot.  Compliance violations can be costly and often there are not capital and IT resources available to invest in capabilities not vital to their core business," said Enrico Parodi, Vice President of Software and Solutions Services Worldwide, InfoPrint Solutions.  "InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services aim to address these pain points and many more, ensuring a high integrity, operationally efficient, lower cost print environment, enabling our customers to focus their resources on what they do best.

This is the first of many cloud offerings InfoPrint Solutions' will provide companies seeking ways to reduce their overall print operations spend while still maintaining a high integrity environment," continued Parodi.  "We are looking forward to working with our customers to develop the most optimal solution for their operations, leveraging the benefits of the cloud and our long heritage of proven software and services development."

InfoPrint Solutions' Managed ADF Services enable customers to take advantage of its current portfolio of workflow and ADF offerings such as InfoPrint ProcessDirector.  These offerings have been recipients of top honors by leading analyst firms such as IDC. A 2010 IDC survey found that 68 percent of respondents receive their ADF solutions from InfoPrint Solutions.*
