Fry Communications acquires majority interest in Aysling

Press release from the issuing company

Mechanicsburg, PA — Fry Communications has completed the acquisition of a majority ownership stake in Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Aysling Digital Media Solutions, a leading provider of digital media solutions.

Aysling provides content creation technology, consulting, implementation, training and support to a variety of world-class customers. As a software reseller and integrator, Aysling deploys software products from suppliers such as WoodWing, Adobe, and Dataplan to a diverse customer set, including some of the largest publishers and marketing organizations in America.

“Given the increasing importance of digital content creation and distribution, and Aysling’s leadership position, this acquisition and investment represents our continued commitment to provide unique digital media solutions for our customers,” said Steve Grande, Fry’s VP of Sales.

“Aysling expands the suite of technology and services Fry is able to provide its clients,” said David Fry, CTO of Fry Communications. “At the same time, we’re able to provide Aysling the support it needs to strengthen and expand its professional services team. We share the same passion for world-class customer service, and we’re happy to welcome Aysling’s team to the Fry family.”

“In an industry and economy which has struggled over the past few years, Aysling has been able to build its client base and grow its revenue. In order to take the next step we needed a solid partner,” said Patrick Becker, founder and President of Aysling. “Fry offers not only the financial stability we were looking for but also the digital technology vision and experience. I am looking forward to working with the Fry team for many years to come.”

Aysling, formerly WoodWing Solutions, was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 2009. Aysling moved to Ann Arbor in 2010 and also has an office in Orlando, Florida. Aysling offers its services throughout the US, Canada, Europe and the Asia Pacific region, with plans to expand to Latin America in 2011.

The Aysling team has been developing, installing, training, and supporting digital content production systems since 1988. Partnerships with premier software developers have kept Aysling on the leading edge of digital media. From content production to audience engagement, from digital asset management to audience analytics, Aysling will lead the way with the next generation of digital media platforms.
