ORIS Color Tuner // Web excels on the new Epson Stylus Pro 4900

Press release from the issuing company

Hainburg, Germany - CGS Publishing Technologies International announced today that the latest version of ORIS Color Tuner // Web fully supports the Epson Stylus Pro 4900, which will be released in October 2010. The combination of ORIS' Web-enabled color management and advanced Epson features is widely expected to make this an ideal remote proofing system.

Long awaited by many agencies and print providers, the compact, 17-inch production printer sets new standards in color precision for prepress, packaging and design. Epson UltraChrome HDR inks include eleven colors, covering up to 98 percent of the PANTONE color gamut, are especially important for companies working in design or prepress - so that spot and special colors can be accurately reproduced. The entire PANTONE color library is already implemented in ORIS Color Tuner // Web.

By fully integrating the optional inline SpectroProofer, ORIS Color Tuner // Web performs automated printer calibration, locally or remotely. ORIS Certified // Web enables proofer data to be uploaded to the web for color quality control across multiple sites, worldwide.

According to CEO Trevor Haworth, "Deadlines are getting tighter all the time. An automated communication workflow for everyone involved in print production has become essential. Our Web-based systems, Color Tuner // Web and Certified // Web, together with the new Epson Stylus Pro 4900 meet these needs for flexibility, productivity and value. ORIS enables the full potential of the new Epson proof printer and sets new standards for producing color-accurate contract proofs."
