The Messenger Press increases digital capacity with MGI Meteor DP60 Pro

Press release from the issuing company

Carthagena, OH – Installation of the MGI Meteor DP60 Pro was one step on the path to transitioning to Cross Media Marketing for The Messenger Press.   The variable data component and larger sheet size were deciding factors in their choice of the Meteor DP60 Pro.

For well over 100 years, The Messenger Press has provided printing, finishing and fulfillment services to accounts ranging from small area businesses to nationwide corporations, including other printers, and preferred vendor status with several national print and marketing service providers.  With a legacy of outstanding quality and attention to detail, clients treasure the sense of partnership and capacity for problem solving the team at The Messenger Press offers.

That sense of partnership led current owners Randy Heitkamp and Allan Kremer, to increase their digital printing and variable data capabilities to meet client needs for integrated marketing solutions.

"Obviously, outstanding print quality is always the first priority.  But the ability to print four-color envelopes and so many substrates (at the largest sheet size available, 13 x 40" in production) at smaller quantities opens up new markets.  Add the variable data, sheet-to-sheet registration, and laser-safe prints, and the decision wasn't hard," stated Heitkamp.  "This is really just another example of how we continually strive to bring our clients the best solutions for their print and marketing needs.  That mindset is how a small company like ours stays relevant for nearly 130 years."

The partnership aspect of Messenger Press' business dealings extend to their vendor relationships as the MGI Meteor DP60 Pro was purchased from their long-time solution provider Graphco.

"We are thrilled that Allan and Randy have continued to show confidence in Graphco through their investment in the MGI Meteor DP60 Pro and our Petratto MiniBat 2 in-line channel scoring system," states Chris Manley of Graphco.  "As one of our top customers we naturally brought the MGI product to Messenger Press' attention and after several demonstrations our deal was concluded."

The addition of the Meteor DP60 Pro allows The Messenger Press to now offer a wider range of products from window clings, synthetic paper door hangers, short-run pocket folders and full-color envelopes to truly personalized pieces utilizing variable data software. As The Messenger Press increases their Cross Media Marketing solutions, their clients will benefit from the high quality and wide range of printed solutions that the MGI DP60 Pro will allow them to provide.
