Touchstone Energy Chooses Standard Register Design On Demand Solution

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio--Sept. 19, 2003-- Over 600 Touchstone Energy co-operatives across the country are beginning to use an innovative Standard Register solution to more effectively communicate with their customers. Standard Register's Web-enabled Design on Demand solution helps companies improve their marketing return on investment by efficiently developing and producing personalized marketing collateral while safeguarding their brand, reducing costs and reducing marketing cycle times. Personalized communication or one-to-one marketing has proven to be very effective. According to research conducted by CAP Ventures, an industry analyst, personalized communications can increase response rates, order size and customer retention by 25 to 50 percent. "Design on Demand provides the co-op members with a tool that allows flexibility and customization while meeting brand and graphics standards," said Jim Bausell, chief operating officer of Touchstone Energy. "Since each co-op differs in size and demographics, Design on Demand makes it easy to develop consistent messaging with a local twist." With Design on Demand, templates are developed for brochures and tri-folds and accessed via a secure Web site. Pull-down menus provide variability in graphics and messaging. And with simple point-and-click actions, customized brochures and tri-folds can be created quickly and easily to be included in monthly statement mailings. Greg Nelson, Touchstone Energy's director of advertising, states, "Design on Demand allows us to implement one of our core values -- innovation -- by providing our co-ops with a unique and innovative way of communicating with their members. It brings a level of ownership to the local level by allowing them to choose images and text that are pertinent to their local community." Touchstone Energy is a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives providing high standards of service to customers large and small. More than 600 Touchstone Energy cooperatives in 44 states are delivering energy and energy solutions to more than 17 million customers every day. Touchstone Energy cooperatives serve their members with integrity, accountability, innovation and a longstanding commitment to communities.
