DirectSmile to distribute Taopix Photobook

Friday, September 17, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Photo book software specialist, TAOPIX, has appointed DirectSmile GmbH as distributor for its successful TAOPIX Photobook platform throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

DirectSmile, the Berlin-based manufacturer of the eponymous variable data and cross media solutions, is to create a new division within the company which will be headed by Hans van Neutegem and carry the TAOPIX brand. Mr van Neutegem has a successful 11 year track record in the sale of software solutions to the graphic arts market in Germany, BeNeLux regions and Eastern Europe.

Says Mr van Neutegem, D-A-CH Sales Manager for TAOPIX: "I am personally convinced that TAOPIX is the leading brand in the photo book software space. TAOPIX provides complete out-of-the-box, turnkey, customisable solutions and customers can start selling and producing multiple branded photo books immediately. I am particularly impressed not only by the easy-to-use Designer front-end and production tools TAOPIX provides, but also the fantastic reputation for customer support that they have earned. The fact that TAOPIX solutions natively operate in German is also a massive benefit."

DirectSmile's appointment coincides with TAOPIX's debut at Photokina in Cologne. Says Alex Granat, Commercial Director for TAOPIX Europe: "We have high expectations for TAOPIX sales in the German-speaking regions and already have a number of satisfied customers in Switzerland and Germany. Together with DirectSmile, I am sure we will be able to build on our solid reputation and massively increase our customer base."

TAOPIX will be demonstrating its end-to-end photo book solution at Photokina Stand H019, Hall 4.1 (September 21-26).
