Print World 2010 announces special attractions on the show floor

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto - Print World, the only show in North America with an exclusive focus on shorter-run printing, has announced a special series of on-the-floor attractions to enhance the trade show experience for visitors and exhibitors.

"We've put together a high-value program for all attendees at Print World, that in addition to the leading industry vendors, includes keynote speeches, seminars, and special interest areas," says show manager Sandy Donald.

Special attractions include:

Chinese Pavilion
A special area of the trade show floor is devoted to Chinese manufacturers making their North American debut at Print World. This represents the largest number of Chinese exhibitors at any printing trade show to date in Canada.

Design City
A show within a show, Design City comes back for its fifth outing bigger and better than ever. A distinct area created for design professionals, Design City boasts more paper company exhibitors than ever before, including, Domtar, Tembec, and Cascades Fine Paper. Other exhibitors include stock photography services, printers and finishers.

Software Theatre
A popular attraction at previous Print World editions, the Software Theatre, a 900 sq. ft. presentation area in the Print Software Zone, returns for another engagement. Visitors will take in several free daily demonstrations of leading software on colour management, online products, other print software, and workflow. UpLinX, the new PreMedia Group of global merchant PaperlinX, has signed on as lead sponsor of the Print Software Theatre and will have a major presence at the show. Adobe will also be a major presenter.

Case Study Theatre
This is a new addition to Print World. A distinct area has been set aside in which printers who have adopted successful new business models, or have an otherwise compelling story to tell, will present to other printers. Lively discussion should be the order of the day.

Print World takes place on November 20-22, 2010, at the Direct Energy Centre in downtown Toronto. The city, Canada's largest metropolitan area (5 million+), is the heart of the Canadian printing market.

Toronto is a 90-minute drive from the U.S.-Canada border and Toronto Pearson International Airport features direct flights to all major cities. Porter Airlines, one of the official carriers for Print World, operates direct flights between downtown Toronto (five minutes from the Print World venue) and major centres in the Eastern U.S.
