Polestar awarded national magazine company contract

Friday, September 03, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Polestar Chantry has been awarded a 2 year contract with the National Magazine Company for fulfillment of magazine subscriptions for ten titles printed by the plant.

Polestar currently prints and mails NatMag's direct mail recruitment mailing, totaling more than 700,000 pieces per year, and won the new magazine subscription business as part of a tender process.

The portfolio of titles included in this deal is Company, Cosmopolitan, Cosmopolitan (travel size), Country Living, Good Housekeeping, Prima, Prima Baby, Runners World, SHE and Zest.

Avril Jenkins, Key Account Director for NMC at Polestar, says: "It is great news for Polestar to have been awarded the Subscription Mailing for the National Magazine Company. This sits perfectly with their Direct Mail business, which Polestar was successful in winning earlier this year. Polestar is proud to be offering the National Magazine Company a fully connected communication chain, with services covering the entire process of direct mail, magazine printing, binding & subscription mailing. As the National Magazine Company’s longest running print supplier, this is testimony to the valued relationship and true partnership that we have developed over 25 years. "

Sharon Douglas, Group Circulation and Marketing Director, National Magazine Company says: "We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Polestar to include the fulfilment of our magazine subscriptions. We have been impressed with their professionalism and the way they have handled our account so far. We have every confidence that they will be able to provide the high level of quality and attention to detail our customers expect from their magazine subscription service. The move to Polestar will also have a positive environmental impact with transportation no longer required from printer to mailing house."
