Press release from the issuing company

SHELTON, Conn., Sept. 15 -- Valassis Relationship Marketing Systems (VRMS), the premier customer relationship marketing (CRM) software solution provider, announced it has released MarketEXPERT XR(TM) 4.3, an enhanced version of its CRM/loyalty marketing software product, at the company's Loyalty Conference in Orlando, Florida. Previously only available to customers with IBM's DB2 V8.1 or Oracle 9i RDBMS platforms, MarketEXPERT XR 4.3 may now be used by customers with Microsoft SQL Server(TM) 2000, the fastest growing relational database management system (RDBMS) in the marketplace. Other new features include: Advanced reporting and analytics including item-level basket analysis and share of product group reporting; Graphical administrator views for batch report scheduling and product hierarchy maintenance; Extended support for Upromise(TM) partners with customized data export capabilities; and Extended point-of-sale (POS) communication support through separately- licensed subsystem TargetEXPERT XR, adding Retalix's ISS45 to the list of POS systems capable of targeting shoppers in real-time. "Providing excellent performance for retailers with less than 50 stores, MarketEXPERT XR 4.3 on Microsoft SQL Server is an excellent choice for those considering or are already committed to a Microsoft implementation," said Sue Griffin, Vice President and General Manager of 1 to 1 Solutions. "MarketEXPERT XR 4.3 and TargetEXPERT XR 4.3 were developed to meet the needs of multiple customer segments," said Drew Bennett, General Manager of VRMS. "This year's VRMS Loyalty Conference has attracted record attendance amongst existing and potential customers in various industries. With the new features XR 4.3 brings, VRMS' customer potential expands in the grocery industry and in other segments."
