Fineline Printing Group invests in renewable choice energy

Press release from the issuing company

Effective July 2010, 100 percent of Fineline's electricity will be purchased from wind energy. This investment is through Renewable Choice Energy, a Colorado-based provider who specializes in providing responsible energy sources to all types of organizations.

Fineline's sustainability policy is to adopt strategies and activities that allow them and their stakeholders to realize their revenue and profit goals that protect, sustain, and restore the Earth's life support systems. This purchase through Renewable Choice Energy is just one of the multiple methods in which Fineline is demonstrating their commitment to be environmentally responsible.

Fineline is certified with the Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program supported by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In order to maintain this certification, 25 percent of Fineline's consumed energy has been provided by a green source.

In addition, Fineline is certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). These certifications ensure that Fineline supports responsible forest management and that the entire facility adheres to corporate green-practices to reduce, reuse, and recycle its various resources

"Becoming 100 percent clean energy driven is one more step in our efforts to restore and protect the Earth for generations to come," said Richard Miller, owner and president, Fineline. "I believe that it's our duty to minimize our impact on our environment, so we are actively pursuing partnerships with organizations, such as Renewable Choice Energy, whose goals are the same."
