17 K4 productions nominated for gold awards at Best of Corporate Publishing competition

Press release from the issuing company

At this year's Best of Corporate Publishing Award competition, many publications produced using K4 have good chances of again taking home sought-after gold trophies. Tasked to select the best in the respective categories, a jury of experts reviewed more than 600 entries and chose 17 publications produced with K4. Nominated in the categories of digital media, finance, commercial, and employee magazines, these publications were produced by vjoon's agency customers Arnold Inhalt und Form, KircherBurkhardt, and SIGNUM communication. The winners will be announced on June 30 when the BCP Congress at Hamburg winds up.

The Swiss agency Arnold Inhalt und Form is a multiple award-winner, in recent years taking home BCP Gold for Credit Suisse corporate publications and again winning nominations this year. The jury also acknowledged the agency's work for other clients with nominations for IBM's customer magazine "Think!" and the Swiss Post publication "magazin". The agency publishes using K4. Lukas Huggenberg, senior art director and IT manager at Arnold Inhalt and Form, particularly values the creative leeway and reliability that K4 factors into the publishing equation. He also likes its cross-media publishing capabilities.

Corporate Publishers also keen on iPad
"Our corporate customers are considering bringing their publications to the iPad and other digital output devices," notes Lukas Huggenberg. "With vjoon K4 Version 6, we are well-equipped to respond to this demand because we can deliver all objects such as pictures, articles and multimedia content to any output channel via a customized workflow."

Just recently in early June, vjoon announced that it had integrated its Cross-Media Publishing Platform with Adobe's Digital Magazine Technology in a move timed to coincide with the iPad's release in Germany. WIRED, a Condé Nast publication, that has long been a K4 user, is already making use of the new technology for their iPad App. The Apple iTunes App Store sold 24,000 copies of the digital magazine – and that was just on the first day of its release.

Several K4 powered publications such as "DB Welt", Deutsche Bahn AG's employee newspaper, created by KircherBurkhardt, have won the BCP Gold award three times and now grace the organization's Hall of Fame. The competition honors corporate publications from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The titles produced with K4 and nominated for the 2010 award are "atrium", a magazine catering to the TOTAL oil multinational's personnel; the employee magazines and newspapers "Bosch-Zünder", "DB Welt", "vodafone update", "Wintershall Information", "DB Logistics", and "Commerzbanker"; Credit Suisse's "Bulletin" and "Global Investor"; Gewürzmüller GmbH's "Gewürzreporter"; and "Roche News". Also nominated are E.ON's "on" magazine; "Y", a journal published by the German Federal Armed Forces; the tenant magazine "stadtleben"; IBM's "Think!"; Swiss Post's "magazin"; and the Wingas publication "Gas Winner". Returning as a sponsoring partner, vjoon is again supporting the event this year.
