Heidelberg Web to show new Sunday at GraphExpo, Announces Plans

Press release from the issuing company

DOVER, NH, September 8, 2003 - Heidelberg's Web Systems division will unveil a new Sunday Press at Graph Expo and also emphasize an equally advanced range of services supporting its press technology. The Web Systems section of the Heidelberg booth will include three "Expertise Centers" offering visitors a venue for discussing value-added services that extend beyond the purchase of new equipment. Those services range from training, parts and maintenance programs to production analysis tools. "We believe partnership between suppliers and printers is as important as technology in the commercial web sector, and our area at Graph Expo will reflect that," explains Ed Young, vice president of sales for Heidelberg's web products in North America. "We have taken some emphasis away from displaying equipment and shifted it to creating comfortable meeting areas where we can share ideas with customers and explore innovative opportunities to work together." "Heidelberg's commitment goes beyond the technology and equipment with value added services and tools to ensure our customers can generate the results they need for success," Young adds. The Heidelberg Web Systems Products & Technology expertise center at Graph Expo will be set up for presentations and discussions on all Heidelberg web presses, including a new Sunday Press model that will be introduced at the show. "In the Service & Training area, we will highlight programs available through our newly expanded Training Center in Dover, New Hampshire, and the wide range of service, parts, press audit and rebuild programs we offer," Young explains. New opportunities for testing and benchmarking through the Heidelberg partnership with Rochester Institute of Technology and the recent installation of a Sunday 2000 web press at the school will also be covered in this section of the booth. A Business Development expertise center will give Heidelberg sales and technical specialists a venue for reviewing research results, best practices and production analysis tools. "As the longstanding leader in the North American commercial web market, we have a lot of data, experience and proven analytical tools," Young explains. "We look forward to sharing that with customers to help them make decisions about how to grow their businesses, improve efficiency and enhance performance."
