Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - The Feingold Award began in 1992 as a tribute to Bill Feingold of Charles Leonard Inc., to honor products and processes that break new ground in the graphic finishing and loose-leaf manufacturing industries. This year, The Binding Industries Association is proud to confer the 2010 Feingold Award upon Spiral Binding.

Spiral Binding made available Snakeskin Wire--a type of binding that makes wire tangling and spool changing a thing of the past. Snakeskin Wire is Wire-O that is packaged in a flex ible plastic "skin" that completely protects the wire, while affording more loops per box. This translates to reduced storage costs and reduces costs associated with the dismantling of the spools--and thereby product.

Steve Roth, Vice President of Spiral Binding, admits that his customers are the motivation behind spreading the technology, saying, "It is with a lot of studying and careful analysis that we bring these products to market. If they can't help our customers with their issues, then we won't bring the product on board. We are very selective in what we introduce to our customers. They come first."

Entries were eligible from suppliers, domestic or international, for technology that helps advance trade binderies, graphic finishers, and custom loose-leaf manufacturers. The award is given to the company whose product or process is deemed most unique or innovative by a panel of experts. "We appreciate the BIA recognizing Spiral Binding as a leader in the industry and for this prestigious award. It makes our efforts to continually bring new products to our customers worthwhile," Mr.Roth said.

Spiral Binding will be presented with an engraved plaque and an article in The Binding Edge.
