Standard Register taps Marilin Miller to drive patient id and safety initiatives

Dayton, Ohio – The Standard Register Healthcare Business Unit announced today that Marilin Miller has been appointed director for Patient Identification and Safety.

In this newly created position, Miller will lead an expanded team to drive innovation and growth for wristbands, labels, and emerging products and technologies, aimed at improving patient identification and safety.

"Marilin brings a keen understanding of the critical issues healthcare providers face in assuring positive patient identification and safety. Her experience is invaluable to us as we invest in this strategic area which is so vital to our healthcare customers," said Brad Cates, president for Standard Register's Healthcare Business Unit.

Miller is a veteran healthcare sales and marketing executive with 27 years experience in patient identification and label products at Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) where she quickly progressed through sales and marketing positions of increasing challenge and responsibility. Her most recent position was regional sales manager of PDC's 11-state, southeastern region where she led an eight-person team with sales of more than $20 million per year.

Miller graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.A. degree, earned two masters' degrees from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio and a doctorate from Southern Christian University in Alabama.
