Efficient and eco-friendly: ROLAND SelectSystems
The power of heat with the SelectSystems from manroland, energy can be recycled from running processes and directly reused. That is how printing companies can reduce their primary energy consumption and emissions harmful to the environment. In particular, during the operation of water-cooled units, a large portion of the energy used for production is made available for supplementary use. For example, the SelectDryer drying systems can reuse a large part of the heated exhaust air and save one-third of the energy formerly required to dry the varnish. Thanks to the highly-dynamic cutting register control CutCon plus, webfed customers save time and valuable substrate, and they can produce in an environmentally-friendly way. Every single cut-off is registered and controlled by the system. Thanks to the highly-precise cutting accuracy, users can avoid an enormous amount of paper waste both during reel change and blanket washing compared to systems without CutCon plus. Sheetfed customers also benefit from sustainable technologies. The QuickChange systems from manroland protect resources and reduce start-up waste. In combination with other systems such as the ColorPilot color control and measuring device and QuickStart for start-up at production-run speed, the QuickChange modules reduce waste to a remarkable minimum. They ensure fast and economical printing processes. For example, QuickChange Air optimally controls the air consumers in a printing system and stores their settings. The same applies to QuickChange Color, the self-learning software that is even more precise when taking customer-specific ink presettings into account for every print job.
