Coating Excellence International as a Certified SGP Printer

Loveland, Ohio - The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership announces that it has certified Coating Excellence International, Wrightstown WI, as a certified SGP Printer, bringing the total number of certified facilities to 18.

Coating Excellence International (CEI) is a leading domestic converter of flexible packaging products, which are produced using clean production technologies, renewable resources, and recyclability making CEI a market leader in sustainable packaging products.

George Fickau, Manager of Sustainable Packaging, commenting on CEI's SGP certification, "Our certification reinforces our core beliefs in being a sustainable manufacturer to our customers, employees, and community. The certification process helped us to establish written guidelines and procedures for the sustainable practices we were doing and to take some methodologies to a new level."

CEI joins a growing group of certified SGP Printers including: Fineline Printing Group, Indianapolis, IN; Pictura Graphics, Minneapolis, MN; Pratt Corporation, Indianapolis, IN; The John Roberts Company, Minneapolis, MN; Monroe Litho, Rochester NY; Derby City Litho, Louisville, KY; Meisel, Carrollton, TX; Portland Color, Portland, ME; Global Packaging, Oaks, PA; C&H Packaging, Merrill WI; Consolidated Printing, Chicago IL; Minuteman Press, Lawrence KS; Alcom, Harleysville PA; Modernistic, Stillwater MN; Jet, Bolingbrook and Downers Grove, IL locations; and Robbie, Lenexa KS. More than 50 SGP Applicants are currently working through the certification process.

Printing facilities located in the United States and Canada are eligible to apply for certification with the SGP Partnership. To become a certified SGP Printer, a facility must demonstrate conformance with criteria that require a holistic approach to sustainability and must pass an onsite audit. Certified printers are assigned a certification number and logo for use on their printed products to indicate it was "Printed by a SGP Printer."
