Goss International named 'Best Supplier' in Brazil print award program

Press release from the issuing company

Goss International and its customers have triumphed in Brazil's foremost printing award ceremony, the Fernando Pini awards. Approximately 70 percent of winners among print service providers were Goss equipment users, while Goss International picked up the coveted title of 'Best Supplier' in heatset web offset.

Encompassing all areas of the graphic arts industry, the Fernando Pini Brazilian Awards for Graphic Excellence were created in 1991 to promote excellence in print communications and to recognize the best in print media. This latest competition featured 1,331 works submitted in 60 categories. Goss technology users Plural Editora e Grafica, Grafica Santa Marta, Editora Abril and Ibep Grafica were among the winning companies. Runners-up included Log Print Grafica (Formerly Globo) and Margraf Editora.

Sponsored by Abigraf (the Brazilian Graphic Industries Association) and ABTG (the Brazilian Graphic Technology Association), the 'Best Supplier' award was judged on feedback received from association member companies.

Ernesto Gualy, director of service and installations for Goss International in Brazil, explained the significance of this recognition: "This is the oldest and largest graphic arts competition in Brazil and highly regarded throughout the whole of Latin America. The name 'Fernando Pini' signifies excellence and rightly enjoys the highest respect of the industry. We are very proud for our small part in the achievements of our customers in winning such praise, and we're even more proud to have our efforts on their behalf acknowledged in such a gratifying and prestigious manner."
