Press release from the issuing company

IVRY SUR SEINE, FRANCE -- MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the multi-substrate (paper, plastic & envelopes) digital press and finishing solution manufacturer, today announced a successful Meteor DP60 Pro installation in the envelope printing market.

One year ago, MGI Digital Graphic Technology and its Swedish distributor Söderqvist, installed a Meteor DP60 Pro digital press at the HQ production site of Bong Ljungdahl AB Sweden, one of the largest manufacturers in the European envelope industry, who is worth EUR 2 billion annually with a total volume in the range of 100 billion envelopes per year. The installed press has been dedicated to print a wide range of envelopes using MGI's envelope feeder, the EnvelopExpress.

For Bong, this was the first installation of a digital press for envelope printing. Magnus Olofsson, Manager of the Swedish operation, added:

"While we are an important envelope manufacturer, we also need to bring additional value to our customers, such as personalized and short run printed products. Now, thanks to the Meteor, we can offer to our customers short or long runs, with or without variable data printing. This equipment is very flexible, easy to operate and able to handle all kinds of formats and substrates. This equipment has already achieved 1 million printed envelopes in just one year!"

"Our plan for 2010 is to print 1.8 million envelopes with our Meteor and our goal for the future is to have digital printing available at each of our European sites."

The Meteor DP60 Pro is the most versatile digital press in the industry and recently received an Encore Must See 'Em award at PRINT 09. The Meteor DP60 Pro can print on a wide range of papers and plastic/synthetic substrates, including envelopes, PVC, Teslin®, magnets, canvas, vinyl, CS1/CS2, polycarbonate and many others, up to 16 pt/350gsm/130 lb cover.
