CGS Helps J.F. Moore Communications Achieve G7 Certification

Hainburg, Germany / Minneapolis, MN -- CGS Publishing Technologies International, global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing systems and specially formulated media was selected by J.F. Moore Communications as the color management technology to help them become a G7 Master Printer.  This general commercial printer is the 4th printer in Canada to achieve this distinction.  ORIS Color Tuner Pro and ORIS Certified Proof were installed six months ago as part of the company's strategy to improve color quality.

J.F. Moore was founded in 1985 and currently employees more than 70 employees in Toronto, Ontario.  The company is a full service communications company offering offset and digital printing, as well as, prepress services, bindery and fulfillment.  J.F. Moore is committed to the environment and the community.

The IDEAlliance defines the G7 Master Program as a qualification program that identifies those creatives, premedia and printing companies who have been trained to proof or print to G7 Neutral Print Density Curves and can meet print buyer requirements to produce proofs or printed output conforming to the metrics that reliably render brand images across print locations and different printing types.. The qualification mark means that the printer uses the modern technology based on colorimetry, and employ G7 process controls. G7 Masters bear the IDEAlliance seal of approval. Attaining G7 Master Printer status is a competitive goal for those providing creative, premedia and printing services, worldwide.

Dave Cochrane, Prepress Manager, commenting on the G7 certification said, "In making the decision to become a G7 Master Printer we recognized that we needed to improve our colour management processes in order to compete and break new ground in the Canadian marketplace.  We decided on the G7 program because of the benefits it would give our customers in improved color quality.  Once we settled on the standard we needed to find the best color management solution.
