H&L Binders installs its 4th Muller Martini Perfect Binder

Press release from the issuing company

Since it began its business over 35 years ago, H&L Binders, Inc., a 25-person, full-service trade bindery in Doraville, Georgia, has partnered with Muller Martini to provide customers with the latest print finishing technology.  Recently, it installed the Pantera Perfect Binder, increasing production capability with its quick make-ready, while providing the versatility to handle all run lengths.

In addition to conventional hotmelt binding, the Pantera can also process PUR Adhesive. This adhesive is becoming an increasingly popular method of perfect binding premium books, annual reports, catalogs, directories and magazines, due to its high pull-resistance values and exceptional lay-flat characteristics.

“First and foremost, we chose the Pantera perfect binder so we could offer PUR perfect binding to our customers, many of whom have requested a more robust binding to ensure quality and longevity of their products. In addition, this machine also provides improved quality control features, including its automatic signature recognition which checks all signatures from the inside for optimal reliability,” noted Marty Grogan, H&L’s Vice President of Manufacturing.

H&L replaced their Muller Tigra perfect binder with the new Pantera, representing their fourth Muller perfect binder purchase.  “We’re planning to upgrade to another perfect binder within the next twelve months as well as add saddle stitcher capacity,” said H&L President David Jacobs.  “Naturally, we want to continue our partnership with Muller Martini. We’ve been very loyal Muller clients, and they continue to be very attentive to our needs and the needs of our clients.”

The space-saving Pantera perfect binder can handle a broad array of jobs and can be configured with up to 28 feeder stations.  It’s specifically designed for fast and convenient set-up via its interactive Set-up Assistant Companion and an intuitively-designed touchscreen monitor.
