PHILADELPHIA -- In the enterprise content management (ECM) industry and the channel sales community, Kodak's Don McMahan is highly recognized for his contributions to the growth, innovation and leadership of the industry and a number of businesses. In recognition of his accomplishments, McMahan joined the elite AIIM Company of Fellows during last night's annual awards dinner at the 2009 AIIM International Exposition and Conference in Philadelphia.

"The Company of Fellows award is a long-standing honor presented to those who bring exemplary value through their service to the AIIM organization and the industry," said John Mancini, President of AIIM. "Don McMahan's passion for helping his colleagues, coupled with his continuous promotion of educational initiatives, new ideas, and industry growth are valuable assets to the AIIM organization."

Don McMahan, Vice President, Sales, US&C, Document Imaging, Business Solutions and Services, Eastman Kodak Company has relentlessly pursued the recruitment of new membership and provided leadership at AIIM, helped to facilitate educational programs, and assisted other colleagues and companies with the expansion of their own businesses into new markets. As a respected industry visionary, Don achieved many successes through his past tenure on the AIIM Board of Directors as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer, and received recognition numerous times over the past several years as a channel champion by both CRN and VARBusiness magazines.

Nominated by more than 10 of his industry peers, including other AIIM Fellows, McMahan was cited for his energy and passion for the field, and for his collaborative work with industry partners to attain solutions. McMahan was also noted for his leadership contributions to the AIIM Association, with a commitment to helping the advancement of business in the overall industry.

"Don is one of the most dynamic leaders I have met in this industry. He is a powerful networker, an innovative thinker, and has a proven ability to push his ideas forward into successful initiatives," said Ralph Gammon, Editor/Publisher, Document Imaging Report.  "Don's vision has helped grow both the companies he's been at, and the industry as a whole."

The Company of Fellows is an honor bestowed upon individuals in the ECM industry who stand out through their dedication, service and character. McMahan's dedication to his value added reseller partners spans across a legacy of many years as a channel leader, in both past roles at Fujitsu and Visioneer, and into his current role at Kodak. Recipients of the Company of Fellows awards are recognized for the criteria of their good character and reputation, value to the field through their long service to the association, tenured membership and leadership within AIIM and notable contributions to the ECM industry consistently over many years.
