NAPC Introduces Xinet-To-Pageflex Connector

Press release from the issuing company

Waltham, MA -- NAPC today announced the release of the Xinet-to-Pageflex Connector, a groundbreaking tool that seamlessly integrates Xinet’s digital asset management capabilities with Pageflex’s variable data publishing and Web-to-Print Storefront capabilities.

Now, for the first time, Pageflex users can directly access a global asset library stored on a Xinet server, making it easy to create templates for print and online campaigns from a single source of assets. Because companies no longer need to manually copy assets to a Pageflex server, they eliminate redundancy, save time and increase efficiency.

“This was a major request by a variety of our clients who were frustrated by the duplication efforts involved in moving assets from their DAM environment over to Pageflex,” said Kenny Kirsch, Director of Strategic Solutions at NAPC. “Before the Xinet-to-Pageflex Connector, they had to sneaker net assets over to Pageflex or figure out another way to move them. Now they can do it seamlessly and effectively.”

To ensure that the product would meet the integration needs of various companies in real-world usage, NAPC actively involved its clients in the development process. “Through a lot of interviewing, discovery and architecting, we were able to bridge these best of breed technologies to achieve the kind of interoperability that clients wanted,” Kirsch said.

For Pageflex users, accessing assets with the Xinet-to-Pageflex Connector is a simple matter of selecting metadata keywords relevant to a job to see what images are available. Only the most current version of a file can be accessed, so users don’t have to worry about choosing the wrong version by mistake. When a file is updated in Xinet, it’s made available to Pageflex Storefront for immediate usage.

The Xinet-to-Pageflex Connector also offers significant benefits to Xinet users. For ad agencies and printers, for example, this new connectivity opens the door to offering new Pageflex solutions to Xinet clients and generating significant new revenue.

The Xinet-to-Pageflex Connector is the result of an exclusive collaboration between NAPC and Hybrid Integration, which specializes in integration challenges facing the printing industry.
