C.P. Bourg Focuses on Finishing Productivity at On Demand

Philadelphia, PA -- C.P. Bourg, the world's leading technology developer and supplier of in-line and near-line document feeding, binding and finishing equipment, is slating AIIM/On Demand Expo at the Philadelphia Convention Center March 31 – April 2, 2009 to showcase a range of products aimed at boosting productivity in production binding and finishing applications.
 
Near-line finishing products on display in C.P. Bourg Booth #1715 include Bourg BB3002 Perfect Binders in EVA and PUR configurations for economical production of short-run perfect-bound books on demand. The Bourg BST10-d+ Suction Tower Collator will be shown connected to a new C.P. Bourg stitch/fold/trim booklet maker capable of handling 14.5 x 23.5 inch (370 x 600 mm) output – the largest sheet size currently produced by digital printers. A new and highly automated sheet feeder will be connected to a Bourg BDF Document Finisher and a Baum K20 Knife Folder demonstrating high-efficiency finishing to reduce mailing costs. C.P. Bourg also will feature Baum AutoSet and Tabletop folders and a Baum 26-1/2-inch cutter in its booth.
 
C.P. Bourg is also showing several products that feature in-line finishing productivity. These include Bourg's proven BBF2005 Perfect Binder for professional-quality books on-demand, attached to a Xerox NuveraTM 144 printer; the new Bourg PowerSquare 200 binder, which produces simulated perfect-bound stitched booklets of up to 200 pages; and the high-speed Ibis Smart Binder, which features both in-line stitching and unique, mail-friendly cold-set gluing.
 
Additional digital in-line demonstrations of C.P. Bourg finishing equipment will take place in Xerox Booth 2000. There, C.P. Bourg BDFx Document Finishers will be operating on-line with the Xerox iGen4TM color Digital Production Press and Xerox Nuvera 288 monochrome Digital Production System.
