Millennium Print Group Installs Komori Lithrone Press

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL -- Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced it has installed a five-color Lithrone SX29 offset press with coater (LSX 529C) at Millennium Print Group, making the company's Apex, North Carolina facility an all-Komori facility. Millennium Print Group delivers a wide range of digital and offset printing capabilities to clients in the academic, retail, and pharmaceutical industries. The company chose the new Komori press for its extensive automation, making it possible to offer customers faster turnaround times.

Before purchasing the Komori LSX 529C, Millennium Print Group heavily researched the market's available presses. "We looked at many brands, and the Komori presses clearly had the high quality output we expect with advanced technology," said Darrin Spivey, president and principal of Millennium Print Group. Barry Long, sales and marketing manager for Millennium Print Group noted that the press operators are taking full advantage of the streamlined automation. "Thanks to the LSX529C's inline coater, we don't have to apply varnish or coating in a separate pass," said Long. "This presents a huge time saver." Additionally, the company reports a greater color consistency provided by the Komori press' spectrophotometer scanner.

"Millennium Print Group is a company with a reputation for quality," said Mark Hopkins, vice president of sales for Komori's Eastern Region. "We're pleased to provide them with a press that meets the growing customer demand for maximum speed and productivity while maintaining an exceptional print quality."
