Gannett orders VisionMasters from Glunz & Jensen for newspaper sites

Granger, Indiana – The Gannett Corporation, McLean, VA has ordered six VisonMaster punch/benders from Glunz & Jensen for Wilmington (DE) News Journal, two for Nashville (TN) Tennessean and three for The News Journal, White Plains (NY). The VisionMaster is Glunz & Jensen’s first true vision-to-target registration punch bender priced under $50,000.00.

Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging, Grand Rapids (MI), has also jumped on the economic bandwagon and ordered a VisionMaster for Medford (OR) Mail Tribune.

The VisionMasters in Nashville and White Plains are punching and bending plates for both 46- and 44-inch web widths. Wilmington will install theirs at the time of their web reduction that is set for 44 inches. All sites ordered conveyors and stackers to complement their new VisionMaster Punch Benders to maintain automated plate production.

Dynagraph for Printing Industry LLC of United Arab Emirates purchased the following for United Printing and Publishing of Abu Dhabi, UAE: two new ProVision Alliance punch/benders, three UTM-H conveyors, two CD-H cross conveyors and two stackers to allow three CtP engines to feed the two punch/benders. Installation is set for late August.
