EPG Expands Printing Systems

Press release from the issuing company

Centerbrook, Connecticut -- EPG (Essex Products Group www.epg-inc.com), located in Centerbrook, Connecticut, announces that it will exhibit advanced color measurement technology and new presetting and scanning interface software at PRINT 09, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, September 11 - 16, 2009. Visit EPG in booth #5437.

Highlighted will be EPG's user-friendly KeyColor C remote ink control desk and the KeyColor S controller for smaller presses, and the introduction of the KeyColor Apollo color measurement and web inspection technology that provides continuous closed-loop color control and defect detection, and is easily retrofit to most offset printing presses.

New KeyColor Adelphi software utilizes the output of CTP to preset the ink fountain keys and reduce setup costs on presses with non-EPG ink control systems.  Also new, the Adelphi scanner interface software works with any ink desk on sheetfed or web presses adjusting ink keys to achieve required target densities.  The Adelphi additions to the KeyColor AutoSet and AutoKey software greatly expand EPG’s ability to service customer needs.

The KeyColor C ink desk ink control system provides user-friendly, computerized control of fountain ink keys. Press operators are able to rapidly adjust ink key settings from a central ink desk to speed makeready and reduce waste.  The KeyColor S, designed for smaller presses, has all the capabilities of larger KeyColor consoles, which include combining with the KeyColor Autoset, AutoKey and Adelphi presetting and color scanner interface software.

"It's now easier than ever to create an elegant integrated color control system," says Peter Griffin, President, EPG. "We offer commercial, packaging and newspaper printers a single-source solution for their color control needs, enabling seamless consistent print production and helping deliver an exceptional product for greater profitability."
