Prism WIN 2009 Incorporates Metrix Production Planning

Press release from the issuing company

WILMINGTON, MA -- Prism's latest management information system (MIS), Prism WIN 2009, enables the power of Metrix production planning software for seamless, automated layout creation of all sheetfed and flatwork. With one click from a quote or job, Metrix will optimize sheet size and maximize number up for the desired production process. The proposed layout is available to be viewed directly in WIN and passed on to pre-press. WIN 2009 also supports ganged jobs and this functionality works hand in hand with Metrix to maximize the number of jobs per layout, creating multiple layouts where necessary.

Prism first demonstrated WIN 2009 at PacPrint in Australia in May and will continue to unveil the new product at Print 09 in Chicago, September 11-16, at booth 6563.

"WIN 2009 with Metrix represents a big leap in integration between WIN and Metrix," stated Manfred Lange, Technical Director of MIS for Prism. "WIN 2009 gives our customers the ability to estimate proper costs with accurate layouts during the quoting stage, create ganged runs with optimized layouts, and tie all of this together with accurate job costing. I'm impressed with the technological leap we have made and I know our customers will benefit from it."

Rohan Holt, Managing Director of LithoTechnics said, "LithoTechnics and Prism have a great working relationship spanning many years. In the USA, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand we have a growing number of common customers that will definitely benefit from this exciting new level of product integration."
