Press release from the issuing company

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- NEENAH PAPER Technical Products introduces KIMDURA Synthetic Paper for Medical Wristbands and Labels.  This new KIMDURA platform delivers a durable, waterproof and chemical-resistant face stock that withstands the demanding conditions found in medical environments in addition to incorporating multicolor imaging.

KIMDURA for Medical Wristbands has excellent print durability, delivering reliable first-time scans and remaining smudge-proof, accurate and legible throughout a patient's stay.

"Whether the application is limited to patient wristbands, or extends to labels for specimens, containers, vials or slides, KIMDURA for Medical Wristbands delivers the combination of durability and graphic qualities required for medical applications," says Michael O'Connell, brand manager, Neenah Paper.  "For example, effective and reliable identification, coupled with the ability to incorporate color, can help the healthcare team better identify patients' ailments – a critical factor in the continuum of care."

KIMDURA for Medical Wristbands can be used for on-demand, multi-color printing with ink-jet technology, for efficient and effective conversion into long-wearing wristbands and durable, legible identification labels.  It also allows for hand-written updates.  The synthetic paper is non-irritating, naturally latex-free, and resists common hospital chemicals.  It is available in 70- and 95-micron thicknesses, with customized thicknesses also available.
