BALTIMORE -- Vertis Communications, a premier marketing services provider of targeted print advertising and direct marketing solutions to America's leading retail and consumer services companies, announced today the appointment of Scott Berry as senior vice president of sales for Vertis' direct marketing group. This business segment utilizes inline inkjet, digital one-to-one/on-demand, conventional laser lettershop, and sheetfed platforms to enable marketers to reach consumer touch points and increase program performance through highly relevant and unique response-generating communications.

"Scott has a history of working closely with customers to understand their businesses to vastly improve ROI; he will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities for Vertis' clients, to optimize their data and deploy customized cross-channel communications using the latest in print, pURL, e-mail, mobile messaging and online technologies. This expertise coupled with Scott's strong management experience will drive Vertis' direct marketing sales team to become more focused on the multichannel communications that are in high demand by our customers today."

Most recently, Berry was chief sales and marketing officer for Workflow One, a national leader in managed services for print and promotional marketing. While at Workflow One, Berry managed a large sales and marketing organization of 1,000 staff members. He specialized in promotional marketing, financial services, nonprofit and healthcare business segments.  Berry was also at RR Donnelley for 10 years serving as senior vice president of sales, general manager, and business development roles.

Berry has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Northeast Louisiana University.  He will office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
