Sponsorships grow for 2009 Franklin Event

The list of sponsors for PIA's 2009 Franklin Event continues to grow as the exciting September 30th program at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers (5:30-10:00 pm) draws near. Companies interested in adding their own names to event supporters have until Sept. 14 to do so. Individual tickets may be purchased up to the event date and at the door, although pre-registrations are encouraged.
       
Platinum sponsors to date include: Brown Printing Company, Eastman Kodak Company, Evergreen Printing Company, Federal Direct, FUJIFILM Graphic Systems, U.S.A., Inc., Graytor Printing Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, HudsonYards, Printing News, Quad/Graphics, Inc., Quebecor World, Sandy Alexander, Inc., and Xerox Corporation.

Gold sponsors include: Abitibi Bowater, Agfa Corporation, Candid Litho, Continental Web Press, Dalim Software, Dolce Printing, Inc., Draftfcb, HIFLEX Corporation of North America, Pitman Company, Polaris Direct, Premium Color Group LLC, Print International, Reliable Paper Recycling, SendMyAd, Superior Printing Ink, and Utica National Insurance Group.

Platinum sponsorships ($5,000) provide for a reserved table of ten seats, with prominent mention throughout an extensive pre and post-event media campaign, PIA website, printed program and venue signage.  Gold sponsorships ($2,500) provide the same benefits with a reserved table of five seats.  Deadline for all sponsorships is Sept. 14.  Individual tickets are $350. Checks and credit cards are accepted.

This year's honorees include: Cathie Black, President, Hearst Magazines (Franklin Award for Distinguished Service); Power of Communications Awards:  Patrick Pagani (Ramsey Press) for Printing; Lori Carrabba (Ogilvy HealthWorld) for Advertising; and Celie Baussan (SourceMedia) for Publishing.  The 2009 Zenger Medal will be awarded to Stephen Whittaker (Monroe Litho).

The Franklin Event is being run through the PIA Graphic Communications  Foundation. Proceeds support ongoing industry education and career promotional activities of the Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
